Felag kjoerraedismanna á Íslandi, Iceland Consular Corps, held its Annual General Meeting in Reykjavik on the 21st of November, 2006.

Mr. Amarkai Amarteifio, Consul-General of Sweden and Dean of the honorary Consular Corps of Ghana met with his colleague members of the board of Directors of the World Federation of Consular Corps (FICAC) at the opening session of the Executive Committee meeting that took place in Accra yesterday.

The President of the World Federation of Consular Corps has described Ghana as one of the most suitable destinations for investment on the African continent. Mr. Roland Dahlman said, “I will ask any investor coming to the West Coast to come to Ghana.

Félag kjoerraedismanna á Íslandi, the Consular Associaiton of Iceland, was established in year 1964. On the 10th of December, 2004 the members of the association and their spouses celebrated this by a festive dinner at the Radisson SAS Saga Hotel in Reykjavik.

Dear Roland Dahlman, Thank you for your letter. The Asian tsunami, the worst natural disaster in modern times, of course affect us deeply. The endless suffering and the enormous loss of lives it has created for the people struck is hard to fathom.

The Consular Corps of Helsinki, Finland, is getting regularly together for luncheon meetings and the participation is usually very good, because we have had the pleasure on these occasions to introduce high level speakers to give presentations on topical items in the political, economic and cultural fields.

The third Executive Committee Meeting of FICAC – World Federation of Consuls was held at the Dom Pedro Hotel, Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal between April 24 and 25, 2005. President Dahlman welcomed the members and gave an overview of the work done over the past three months.
